NC 811 has produced white flags for excavators to use to identify proposed excavation. The flags are bundled in bunches of 100. Note that the flags include a place that the ticket number can be written using a sharpie. We understand that in most cases excavators will not have the ticket number at the time they designate their proposed excavation. The space is available if the excavator chooses to add this once the ticket has been created.

Please note that using any color other than white to pre-mark can cause confusion in the field and may pose a danger to people working in the area.
